The French National Centre for Scientific Research (French: Centre national de recherche scientifique, CNRS) is the French state research organisation and is the largest public research body in Europe and the second largest research organisation in the world. CNRS is the host institution for the ECHOES project.
The Office National d'Études et de Recherches Aérospatiales (ONERA), is the French national aerospace research center. Alongside their core mission in aerospace and defense research, ONERA research scientists have also pionneered many advances in astronomical instrumentation such as adaptive optics. ONERA is a partner institution for the ECHOES project.
The Laboratory for Instrumentation and Research in Astrophysics (LIRA) is a CNRS joint research unit at Paris Observatory - PSL. With a long history of innovation, LIRA contributes significantly to the advancement of astronomical techniques and technologies, in particular in high-contrast imaging. LIRA will host the experimental validations as well as the majority of the research team of the ECHOES project.
