The International Astronomical Union (IAU) currently catalogs 916 meteor showers, yet only a small fraction are well established showers with known parent bodies. This discrepancy raises an important question : do all 916 entries correspond to genuine physical meteoroid streams ? And can known population of small bodies realistically account for so many showers ? In this talk, I will present my ongoing study on the physical and dynamical plausibility of small bodies as meteoroid-stream sources and outline a quantitative framework for understanding the origins of meteor show.
