Each year, around ten PhD theses topics are launched within LIRA. The theses cover most of the topics developed at LIRA and are divided between the five scientific areas. They involve the analysis of experiments, modeling, and instrumentation, and explore the universe of the Earth’s environment, planets, stars, and galaxies.

What is a PhD thesis?
A PhD thesis is the culmination of a university degree program, involving research conducted in a laboratory under the supervision of a thesis advisor. Generally lasting three years, it involves obtaining original results that can be published in major scientific journals, or, in the case of instrumental theses, conducting experiments that lead to the development of original instruments.
