This image reveals the central region of the Tarantula Nebula, observed with unprecedented precision thanks to VLT interferometry and the GRAVITY+ program. By combining the light from the four 8-meter telescopes, the GRAVITY+ instrument — to which LIRA actively contributes — is able to isolate and measure individual stars in an extremely dense environment. This breakthrough opens a new era for the observation of young, massive star clusters, offering a unique glimpse into the formation conditions of the brightest stars.
