Mathias Nowak
Mathias Nowak, a CNRS research fellow at the Laboratory for Space Studies and Astrophysical Instrumentation (LIRA) at the Paris Observatory – PSL, is developing new techniques for observing exoplanets. His project aims to push the limits of the GRAVITY instrument, installed on the Very Large Telescope (VLT), in order to observe planets orbiting ever closer to their stars and to measure their properties more accurately. These advances will enable the characterisation of a new generation of exoplanets detected by the Gaia space mission and will provide new insights into the formation and evolution of giant planets.
