Asteroseismology

The field of asteroseismology has emerged as a unique tool to understand the internal structure of stars, their evolution, and to determine their global properties like masses and ages. This activity started at the Observatoire de Paris with the (COROT satellite) and continued with the analysis of data from Kepler and TESS. It will continue in the future with the (ESA PLATO mission).
